How One Prokope Akademy Workshop Changed Tia's Life

TIA had no background in content creation. After joining a free Prokope Akademy workshop, everything changed. She learned how to use digital tools, discovered her passion, and eventually landed an internship as a content creator.

SMAN 1 Ubud → Workshops → Internship at Catalyze

“I love designing… but I didn’t have the place for my creativity.”

That all changed when Tia joined her first workshop with Prokope Akademy.

Getting Started with Workshops

Back in school, Tia was looking for something more.

“I am someone who loves to make creativity… I love designing, but I don’t have the place for my creativity. So then, my teacher asked me to join the workshops. And it was held by Prokope.”

After joining her first one, she was hooked.

“I joined a lot of Prokope’s workshops. I don’t remember how many… maybe 3 or 4.”

The topics ranged from design and branding to entrepreneurship.

“To be honest, I don’t really like entrepreneurship. But after the workshop, I missed it… I got interested in entrepreneurship.”

A Creative Space to Grow

Beyond the skills, what stood out most to Tia was the freedom and connection she found.

“I really love how I could express my creativity there. I really love how I can be free in these workshops. We got so many relations, so many friends.”

Internship with Catalyze

Tia’s consistency opened up a new opportunity — her first internship.

“I joined so many Prokope programs that I had the chance to get an internship with one of Prokope’s company partners.”

Placed with Catalyze, she stepped into the role of content creator.

“I’m managing the content on Instagram… designing the content, editing videos, shooting their videos, and making it more entertaining.”

Learning on the Job

The experience was more than technical.

“I really love how they told me a lot of new things I haven’t tried before. Catalyze is really kind… they evaluate me if I’ve done something wrong. I just really love working there.”

Looking Ahead

Before joining, Tia didn’t think this kind of path was possible.

“I don’t really think I’m capable of editing that much… but after the internship for about three months, I think I’m capable of editing videos pretty well.”

Now, she’s thinking about building a career in creative content.

“I might consider getting a job to be a designer, a content designer… because I like this kind of job.”

Her Advice to Other Students

“For you all who want to join the internship — if you’re interested in creating, if you have great ideas but don’t know where to go for it, you can join these workshops. You can freely pour your creativity there.”

She adds:

“It’s okay if you don’t feel like you’re capable of doing it. But what’s important the most is the experience. I was not capable of anything before — but because of the experience I got, I could do it now.”

And to Companies?

“Please teach them. Please be patient with them. Be kind, so they can understand your company — and perhaps they will join you later on.”

Final Words

“I’m an introvert person… so in this workshop, I met a lot of amazing people. They were so friendly, so good, they motivated me to be like them.”

“So for you who are looking for an experience, or a place for your creativity — join this workshop. And maybe you can join the internship too.”
